About Brown Jordan
Brown Jordan was founded in 1945 and is one of the oldest and most respected outdoor furniture brands in the U.S. Their sling chairs use a vinyl-coated polyester mesh or Sunbrella fabric sewn into a rail channel on each side. Because Brown Jordan frames are precision-machined, replacement slings must be cut to exact dimensions — a sling that is even 1/4" too wide or too narrow will not fit properly.

Measuring Your Brown Jordan Chair
Brown Jordan rails are usually 1" aluminum extrusions with an internal spline channel. Measure center of rail to center of rail for width, and top of top rail to bottom of bottom rail for length. Follow our How to Measure guide to the nearest 1/4 inch for a perfect fit.

Do you make Brown Jordan Quantum replacement slings?
Yes — Quantum is a one-piece sling chair. Use our configurator, select "Chair Sling - One Piece," enter your rail-to-rail width and length measurements, and pick your fabric.
My Brown Jordan chaise has two separate pieces. Can you make both?
Yes — many Brown Jordan chaises (Pasadena, etc.) use a separate seat sling and a separate back sling that articulates independently. Select "Chaise Sling - Two Piece" in the configurator and enter both sets of measurements.
What fabric is best for Brown Jordan?
Brown Jordan originally used both Sunbrella (solution-dyed acrylic) and Phifertex (woven vinyl mesh) fabrics depending on the collection. Both are available in our configurator. Sunbrella is softer and has more colors; Phifertex is more durable and dries faster.
How long does a Brown Jordan sling last?
With quality outdoor fabric and a correct fit, expect 7-10 years of life in full sun. Sunbrella has a 5-year fade warranty from the mill; Phifertex has a 3-year warranty.
