Products & Ordering

What types of slings do you make?
We make custom replacement slings for patio furniture including: one-piece chair slings, two-piece chair slings (separate seat and back), ottoman slings, one-piece chaise slings, and two-piece chaise slings. We also sell fabric by the yard for DIY projects.
What fabrics do you carry?
We carry premium outdoor sling fabrics from Sunbrella and Phifertex. Sunbrella fabrics are solution-dyed acrylic with excellent UV and fade resistance. Phifertex fabrics are woven vinyl-coated polyester mesh — breathable, quick-drying, and great for hot climates.
Is spline cord included with my order?
Yes! Every sling order includes replacement spline cord at no extra charge. The spline cord arrives as one continuous piece — you will need to cut it to the length of your channels during installation.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes. Orders of 4+ slings receive 5% off, 6+ slings receive 10% off, and 10+ slings receive 15% off. The discount is applied automatically at checkout.
Can I order fabric by the yard?
Absolutely. Any of our Sunbrella or Phifertex fabrics can be purchased by the yard through our Fabrics page. Just select your fabric and add the yardage you need to your cart.

Measuring

How do I measure my chair for a replacement sling?
Remove the old sling first, then measure the bare frame. Measure width from center of the left rail to center of the right rail (not inside wall, not outside edge). Measure length from the top of the top rail to the bottom of the bottom rail. Always measure to the nearest 1/8th inch.
Should I measure the old sling fabric?
No — never use the old sling as a template. Sling fabric stretches over time and will not give accurate measurements. Always measure the bare frame directly.
What if my top and bottom widths are different?
That's normal! Many patio chairs are wider at the front (bottom) than the back (top), creating a trapezoidal sling shape. Always measure both the top width and bottom width separately.
How do I measure a two-piece sling?
Measure the seat and back as two separate pieces. For each piece, measure the width at both the top and bottom, plus the length. The cross bar that divides the seat from the back is your dividing line.

Installation

How does the sling attach to the frame?
Our slings use a channel and spline cord system. The sling has sewn tunnels along each edge. You insert the spline rod into the tunnel, then slide the rod and fabric into the channel (slot) in the rail. The spline rod locks the fabric in place.
What tools do I need to install a new sling?
You will need a flat-head screwdriver, scissors or utility knife, rubber mallet, pliers, and wire cutters. Depending on your frame, you may also need a ratchet with sockets and allen/hex keys for the bolts.
Do I need a spline roller?
No. A flat-head screwdriver works fine for our sling installation. No spline roller is needed.
How long does installation take?
Most people can install a replacement sling in 30-60 minutes per chair. Having a helper makes it easier, especially for stretching and spreader bar reinstallation.
The sling looks too short. Is that normal?
Yes. Slings are designed to fit tightly and require stretching during installation. The fabric will conform to the frame once installed. Warming the fabric in the sun for 10 minutes before installing makes it more pliable.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship?
We ship throughout the United States. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on your order size and destination.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Custom slings are made to order. Current lead time is 20-25 days from order to delivery (production + shipping). You can track your order status anytime on our Track Order page.
How do I track my order?
Visit our Track Order page and enter your order number and the phone number you used at checkout. You will see your current order status and tracking information once your order has shipped.

Returns & Issues

Can I return a custom sling?
Because every sling is custom-cut to your exact measurements, we cannot accept returns on custom orders unless the product is defective. Please double-check your measurements before ordering.
What if my measurements are wrong?
We cut to your exact specifications, so accurate measurements are critical. We strongly recommend following our measurement guide and measuring twice before placing your order.
What if I receive a defective product?
If your sling arrives with a manufacturing defect, contact us right away at hello@casualslings.com or use the chat support on our website. We will make it right.

What We Don't Do

Do you make padded slings?
No, we do not make padded slings. We specialize in standard single-layer sling replacements that use the channel and spline cord system.
Do you make slings that wrap around the rails?
No. We only make slings that slide into the rail channel using a spline cord. We do not do wrap-around slings.
Do you make slings with rails on top and bottom?
No. We do not do slings where the rail is on both the top and bottom of the sling.
Do you offer installation services?
We do not offer on-site installation, but our step-by-step installation guide makes it easy to do yourself. Most people complete the job in under an hour.
