Two-Piece Chair Sling Replacement (Seat + Back)

A two-piece chair sling has separate fabric panels for the seat and the back, each with its own dowel pockets and rail channel. It is common on higher-end patio dining chairs and on chairs where the back articulates independently from the seat — particularly Brown Jordan Pasadena and Tropitone Sorrento.

Two-piece slings ship as two complete pieces in one order — a seat sling with top and bottom rail pockets, and a back sling with its own pair of pockets. Both pieces are cut from the same fabric so the color and pattern match exactly.

Common chair brands that use two-piece slings: Brown Jordan Pasadena, Tropitone Sorrento, Woodard Wrought Iron, and most aluminum-frame patio dining chairs from the 1990s onward. If you are unsure whether your chair is one-piece or two-piece, look for a horizontal gap between the seat fabric and the back fabric.

Do I need to measure both the seat and the back?

Yes — each piece has its own width and length. Our configurator has fields for both. Measure rail-to-rail (center-to-center) for width and top-rail-to-bottom-rail for length, on both the seat and the back.

Will both pieces match in color?

Yes. Both pieces are cut from the same fabric roll in the same orientation, so the color, pattern, and stripe alignment match exactly across the seat and the back.

What if my back sling is wider at the top than the bottom?
